Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineering Supervisor/Manager with an electrical bias to lead a small team of engineers and contractors in a manufacturing setting. The role covers CMMS management, project planning, CAPEX oversight and cost control.

The successful candidate will hold an electrical engineering qualification and have 5+ years of supervisory experience, with knowledge of PLC systems and safety management such as IOSH/NEBOSH. A hands-on approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Experience leading engineers and external contractors.
• Electrical engineering qualification and IOSH/NEBOSH level training preferred.
• Good knowledge of PLC systems.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (HNC/degree/18th edition).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the existing CMMS.
• Manage a team of maintenance engineers and external contractors.
• Plan, manage and control maintenance activities and projects.
• Oversee budget and CAPEX project management.
• Source and order spare parts and replacements.
• Ensure staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met.
• Drive continuous improvement to deliver efficiency and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with legal and HSE requirements.
• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance support.
