Job summary

Partnership Recruiting is recruiting a Logistics Supervisor for an Inverness-based client in a busy transport and distribution environment. It is a hands-on role working with drivers, vehicles and the wider operations team to ensure safe, efficient running of deliveries.

Responsibilities include driver debriefs, route planning support, vehicle checks, and upkeep of paperwork and records. A practical, hands-on approach with knowledge of transport operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet or depot operations.
• Understanding of driver and vehicle compliance.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Confident dealing directly with drivers and resolving operational issues.
• Good communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Experience with transport management systems or HGV licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out driver debriefs and address issues after deliveries.
• Review failed or delayed deliveries and arrange follow-up.
• Assist route planning, vehicle allocation and daily ops.
• Identify and record vehicle defects, breakdowns and maintenance needs.
• Perform depot, yard and vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Ensure driver paperwork and records are completed accurately.
• Liaise with drivers, external providers and the operations team.
• Support vehicle inspections, depot audits and toolbox talks.
• Use transport management systems and resolve daily operational issues.
