Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily transportation and logistics operations.
• Manage daily run sheets, vehicle dispatch and driver communications.
• Prepare and coordinate driver packs, vehicle keys and fuel cards.
• Ensure transport documentation and admin processes are completed accurately.
• Monitor vehicle movements, operations and delivery compliance.
• Support site security and ensure procedures are followed.
• Liaise with internal departments regarding stock, returns and refunds.
• Resolve day-to-day operational issues and maintain cross-department communication.
• Maintain accurate records to support the transport function.

Transport Supervisor

Location: West Lothian, Scotland

Salary: Competitive – circa £35,000 per annum

About the Role

We are working with a highly successful and well-established business seeking an organised and proactive Transport Supervisor to support its busy transport and logistics operation in West Lothian.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transport coordination, logistics or fleet operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can ensure the smooth running of daily transportation activities.

The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating drivers, managing transport administration and ensuring deliveries and operational processes run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities;

• Supervise and coordinate daily transportation and logistics operations.
• Manage daily run sheets, vehicle dispatch and driver communications.
• Prepare and coordinate driver packs, vehicle keys and fuel cards.
• Ensure all relevant transport documentation and administrative processes are completed accurately.
• Monitor vehicle movements, operational activity and delivery compliance.
• Support site security and ensure appropriate procedures are followed.
• Liaise with internal departments regarding missing or damaged stock, returns and customer refunds.
• Help resolve day-to-day operational issues and ensure effective communication between transport and other departments.
• Maintain accurate records and support the efficient running of the transport function.

Skills and Experience;

• Previous experience within transport, logistics or distribution.
• Experience coordinating drivers and daily transport operations.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
