Job summary

Hunter James Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor for a busy Motherwell facility. You will plan service delivery, oversee a large driver fleet and manage scheduling in partnership with supervisors.

Key duties include driver recruitment, accident reporting, KPI reporting, and ensuring health & safety compliance. The role requires IT proficiency and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport Management role.
• Experience managing a fleet of vehicles.
• Strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage department resources.
• Manage drivers, scheduling and profile recording in conjunction with supervisors/managers.
• Recruit drivers throughout the year.
• Investigate accidents and attribute costs with accounts invoicing.
• Maintain reports, documents, schedules and diaries.
• Coordinate movements with Operations Distribution office team.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed on site.
• Uphold drivers' compliance policy.
• Maximise drivers hours within legal limits, with accurate timesheet management.
• Manage ongoing drivers' hours & WTD regulations.
