Job summary

RedRock Resourcing is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to own the day-to-day IT environment in Cardiff, UK. The role is hands-on with responsibility for governance, security and supplier relationships.

You will manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Azure AD, and support cybersecurity measures while ensuring effective service delivery with external providers. Strong communication and practical technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years across infrastructure, systems administration or IT operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Good knowledge of cybersecurity, particularly Defender, endpoint security and DLP.
• Experience with business-critical applications and enterprise systems.
• Experience working with IT suppliers, MSPs and third-party providers.
• Understanding of IT governance, security controls, compliance and audit requirements.
• Experience in regulated or security-conscious environments is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on approach; not a purely advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT environment and broader IT operations and governance.
• Take ownership of Microsoft 365 surface (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive).
• Manage Entra ID / Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access and user access controls.
• Support cybersecurity environment with Defender, DLP and endpoint security.
• Manage access, configuration and integrations across core business apps.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents and tech issues.
• Coordinate with external IT providers, partners and vendors for service delivery.
• Oversee supplier relationships, SLAs, performance and incidents.
• Support IT governance, change management, documentation and audits.
• Assist business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Assist introduction of new technologies including AI tools like Copilot.
• Guide colleagues on security and best practices across the organisation.
