Job summary

ALTECH GROUP LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking a Technical Cyber Security Consultant for a fully remote role. You will combine hands-on technical security work with advisory duties, identifying weaknesses, helping clients understand risk and implementing the solution.

You will design, deploy and configure controls (firewalls, EDR, SIEM, IAM, cloud tooling), support testing and reviews, harden Windows/Linux and cloud environments, and communicate risks to technical teams and senior

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in cyber security, security engineering or a similar technical environment.
• Broad networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs.
• Experience with Windows/Linux administration and Active Directory/identity.
• Hands-on with security solutions and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and configure security controls including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, IAM and cloud tooling.
• Support penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and technical reviews.
• Turn findings into remediation plans and help implement them.
• Hardening Windows, Linux, network and cloud environments.
• Build scripts, automation and internal security tooling.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
