ALTECH GROUP LTD is recruiting a Technical Cyber Security Consultant for a fully remote UK role. You will work on a variety of client projects, designing and deploying security controls, conducting security reviews, and turning findings into remediation actions.

You’ll harden Windows/Linux, build automation, and communicate risks to technical and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines broad security knowledge with hands-on capability, not solely advisory work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in cyber security or similar technical environment.
• Broad knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with Windows/Linux administration and Active Directory/identity.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on experience implementing and configuring security solutions, not just assessing them.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell or Bash.

Responsabilités

• Designing, deploying and configuring security controls including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, IAM and cloud security tooling.
• Supporting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and technical security reviews.
• Turning assessment findings into practical remediation plans and helping clients implement them.
• Hardening Windows, Linux, network and cloud environments.
• Building scripts, automation and internal security tooling.
• Communicating technical risks and recommendations to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
