Job summary

Big Motoring World Group in Blue Bell Hill, Chatham, is seeking a hands-on Handover team member to ensure smooth handovers and the highest standard of customer service at the point of collection in person.

You will keep customers informed, ensure vehicles are prepared to standard, check deal paperwork and funds, assist with tax and insurance guidance, and hand over the vehicle with clear, confident explanations to secure satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Keep customers informed of transaction progress and arrange appointments/collection confirmations.
• Ensure vehicles are thoroughly checked and prepared to the required standard before collection.
• Thoroughly check deal files to ensure paperwork and monies are complete.
• Use online websites to tax the vehicle or advise on insurance options.
• Hand over the vehicle and explain information to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
• Hand over Gard X Kit if included in the order.
• Complete Part Exchange paperwork as applicable.
• Build relationships with customers to encourage positive Trust Pilot reviews and repeat business.
• Complete paperwork tasks accurately and efficiently.

Location: Blue Bell Hill, Chatham

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (In person)

Pay: Up to £29,251.00 per year

Must have a valid, full UK licence (Essential)

About The Role

As a member of the Handover team you will play a key part in the smooth handover of cars to customers ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained. As part of the Handover team you will be responsible for presenting a professional front at all times and being a champion of excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that Customers are kept informed of the transaction progress, including making appointments and confirmation calls in advance of the collection taking place.
• To ensure that vehicles are thoroughly checked and are prepared to the required standard in advance of the Customer collection taking place.
• To thoroughly check deal files to ensure that all relevant paperwork and monies have been received and completed correctly.
• To use online websites to tax the Customers’ vehicle (or provide V62 form and relevant advice) and offer the Customer facilities to arrange their insurance.
• Hand over the vehicle to the Customer, explaining any necessary information to ensure that the Customer is fully satisfied and safe to drive from site.
• Hand over the Gard X Kit if this is included in the Customer order.
• Complete the paperwork for the Part Exchange vehicle as applicable.
• Build relationships with Customers with a view to receiving positive Trust Pilot Reviews, and repeat future business.
• Complete paperwork tasks efficiently and in a timely manner ensuring high levels of accuracy.

Person specification

• Must have a valid, full UK licence (Essential) - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
