Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a dynamic manager in Edinburgh to lead a team, uphold brand standards, and grow membership. You will drive sales, coach staff, and ensure exceptional member service in a busy leisure facility.

The role requires proven management experience in the leisure sector, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, and a track record of driving local marketing and recruitment. You will help shape a welcoming, high-performing club culture at JD Gyms Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Must have a proven and successful track record of management experience within a leisure related industry.
• Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader in the way they manage.
• Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Must have a proven track record in driving sales and co-ordinating local marketing activity as well as recruiting and managing a successful team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct safety checks and report defects to keep equipment safe.
• Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and updates.
• Work towards sales and membership targets and maximise revenue.
• Drive secondary spending revenue across the club.
• Ensure cleanliness of the gym facility and high standards of hygiene.
• Oversee weekly banking process to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Ensure uniform standards are adhered to by all staff.
• Deliver outstanding member service and maintain a positive work environment.
• Be an ambassador for JD Gyms.
