Job summary

JD Gyms in Glasgow is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the gym’s day-to-day operations and drive membership growth. The role requires a proactive leader who can manage early mornings, evenings and weekends while upholding health, safety and brand standards.

You will supervise staff, ensure cleanliness, run safety checks, and push for sales targets. Prior management experience in a leisure facility and a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry.
• Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader.
• Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience in driving sales and coordinating local marketing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational running of the gym at all times.
• Open and close the site as required by hours of business.
• Work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends.
• Adhere to Health and Safety and Company policies.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standards and cleanliness of the facility.
• Drive and achieve sales and membership targets; maximise secondary spend.
• Lead and develop the gym team and contractors.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
