Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a proactive Gym Manager to lead a club team and partner with the General Manager to grow membership and revenue. You will uphold brand standards, manage staff, and deliver exceptional member experiences in a fast-growing gym chain across the UK.

The role requires strong leadership, sales focus, and hands-on operational oversight to ensure safety, cleanliness and member satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of management within a leisure-related business.
• Customer service focus with inspirational leadership.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience driving sales and coordinating local marketing activities.
• Experience as Assistant Manager or Fitness Manager is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standards.
• Conduct safety checks and report defects to keep facilities safe.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants for daily operations.
• Lead team meetings to develop staff and hit targets.
• Drive sales, memberships and secondary revenue.
• Ensure the gym is clean and well-presented at all times.
• Oversee banking to minimise wastage and protect profitability.
• Be an ambassador for JD Gyms and deliver outstanding member service.
