Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a proactive manager to run the gym on a day-to-day basis and partner with the General Manager to grow memberships. You will lead a small team, uphold brand standards, and drive sales and local marketing within a leisure facility.

You will work early mornings, late weekdays and weekends, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and delivering outstanding member service while maintaining high standards across all operations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a management position within a leisure related industry.
• Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader in the way they manage.
• Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Must have experience in driving sales and helping to co-ordinate local marketing activity as well as managing a successful team.
• Ideally will have experience as an Assistant Manager helping to oversee all business areas within a leisure facility or have substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational running of the gym and open/close the site as required.
• Work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard and uniform standards across the team.
• Conduct safety checks and report defects to keep the gym and equipment safe.
• Drive and achieve sales and membership targets; maximise secondary spend revenue.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and manage cleaners.
