Job summary

Fowey Hall Hotel in Cornwall is seeking a Reception Manager to lead our Reception team and ensure memorable guest experiences from arrival.

The role covers check-ins/outs, reservations, budget responsibility, and collaboration with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B. 40 hours per week, weekends included, permanent full-time. Salary £33,500–£35,000 DOE plus service charge and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous Reception experience is essential in hospitality, preferably in luxury hotels.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Charismatic, engaging hospitality mindset with a passion for service.
• Ability to interact with all guests, including families, with professionalism.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; IT proficiency required.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all guest interactions from check-ins to check-outs and enquiries.
• Coordinate room reservations, monitor occupancy, and maximise revenue and satisfaction.
• Manage and supervise the Reception team with clear leadership.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance and F&B to coordinate guest services.
• Ensure financial transactions for FOH are accurate, with budget responsibility including payroll.
