Fowey Hall Hotel in Cornwall is seeking a Reception Manager to lead our Reception team and ensure memorable guest experiences from arrival.

The role covers check-ins/outs, reservations, budget responsibility, and collaboration with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B. 40 hours per week, weekends included, permanent full-time. Salary £33,500–£35,000 DOE plus service charge and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous Reception experience is essential in hospitality, preferably in luxury hotels.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to interact with all guests, including families, with professionalism.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; IT proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all guest interactions from check-ins to check-outs and enquiries.
• Coordinate room reservations, monitor occupancy, and maximise revenue and satisfaction.
• Manage and supervise the Reception team with clear leadership.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance and F&B to coordinate guest services.
• Ensure financial transactions for FOH are accurate, with budget responsibility including payroll.

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences? Fowey Hall Hotel, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Fowey, is seeking a Reception Manager to join the team.

The Role: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Reception Manager to join our lovely team where you will have full accountability for leading our dedicated Reception team and delivering impeccable family stays that are both magical and memorable. You will oversee all aspects of guest interactions and reservations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience as soon as our guests arrive!

This a permanent full time position at 40 hours per week (including weekends), with an annual salary in the range of £33,500-£35,000 DOE - plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all guest interactions, including check-ins, check-outs, enquiries, and special requests, ensuring a personalised and memorable experience.
• Coordinate room reservations, and monitor occupancy levels, maximising revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Manage and supervise the Reception team, providing leadership and guidance.
• Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to coordinate guest services.
• Ensure all financial transactions related to FOH operations are accurate with full responsibility for the departmental budget, including payroll.

To succeed in this role we are looking for:

• Previous Reception experience is essential and ideally from within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Charisma, an engaging personality with a passion for hospitality and excellent service.
• Ability to interact with all guests, and to have fun, engaging with our younger guests.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Competent level of IT proficiency
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
