Fowey Hall Hotel in Cornwall is seeking a Deputy Head Housekeeper to support the Head Housekeeper, lead the housekeeping team, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service. The role is permanent, 35 hours per week over five days, including weekends, with an salary up to £31,000 plus service charge and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel housekeeping.
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Experience managing rotas, payroll, and stock control.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing and supervising the housekeeping team.
• Oversee cleaning and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff with a focus on health and safety and guest service.
• Conduct regular inspections for quality control and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Head Housekeeper to implement improvements and streamline operations.
