The John Francis Bassett, Camborne is recruiting a Receptionist to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The role requires a calm head under pressure and a willingness to learn, with no prior experience needed if you bring a positive attitude.

This 20-hour-per-week position offers a competitive rate, meal and drink on shift, staff discounts, and opportunities for progression through Wetherspoon's training programmes.

Responsibilities

• interacting politely with guests - greeting them, saying `thank you` and `goodbye`
• maintaining office administration in line with company policies and general data protection regulations (GDPR)
• carrying out administrative tasks, reservations, cancellations and no-shows, managing check-ins, check-outs and aftercare, providing reports as necessary (eg for housekeeping or management tasks)
• checking that all bedrooms/conference rooms and all other associated areas under your responsibility are cleaned and maintained within guidelines
• conducting regular security checks, including fire safety checks, throughout your shift, reporting any issues to your line manager
• reporting any security issues, safety hazards, accidents, incidents and/or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
• being responsible for evacuation, in the case of emergency, liaising with guests and the emergency services
• completing required induction, role-specific and ongoing refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement
