Job summary

Phyllis Court Club in Henley-on-Thames is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant to join a small team delivering warm, friendly service to Members and Guests. You will help with bar/restaurant setup, take orders accurately, and ensure cleanliness and safety.

The role requires experience in hospitality, strong customer service, and an organised approach in a busy environment. The position offers on-site work and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurants, bars or events is required.
• Experience in customer service is required.
• Organised approach to work, ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Strong customer service approach and ability to elevate issues as required.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day to day running of service within SOPs: setting up bar/restaurant, health and safety measures, taking orders, charging correctly.
• Assist with room setups, table clearing, food delivery, and beverage preparation.
• Train on and build knowledge of menus; offer food, wine, and beverage suggestions.
• Complete all assigned training within timeframes.
• Maintain a clean work area with a 'Clean As You Go' standard.
• Keep work area well stocked at start and end of shift.
• Support a collaborative team environment with positive behaviour with Colleagues and Members.
