Job summary

Phyllis Court Club in Henley-on-Thames is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager who can train and support a team of Food and Beverage Supervisors and Assistants, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistent service aligned with our high standards.

You will oversee events, monitor billing and venue operations, and lead by example with strong leadership, teamwork, and organisation, including shifts mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Ability to train team to quality service standards.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver an exceptional experience for Members and Guests.
• Oversee and lead food and beverage events, and other day-to-day operations, within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
• Monitor restaurant sales ensuring Members and Guests are receiving prompt and accurate service in accordance with Club standards and correct charging.
• Identify both team member and Member needs and respond proactively to all their concerns in line with Club policies and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure that all food and beverage assistants are tasked in line with the needs of the business.
• Ensure billing is done correctly and in accordance with company policy.Be available for any queries as regards guest issues.
• Complete rotas on a monthly basis.
