Job summary

ibis Southampton Centre, part of Accor, is seeking a Guest Service Assistant to greet guests and deliver memorable service from arrival to departure. This full-time role pays £12.95 per hour and includes excellent employee benefits.

You will join a friendly, professional team across reception and food & beverage, with opportunities to build a rewarding career in hospitality. Prior experience helps but is not essential; being warm, reliable and eager to learn is key.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or hotel experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Warm, reliable, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and positive attitude.
• Confidence using technology and learning new systems.
• Flexible shift work including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and managing check-ins and check-outs.
• Processing payments and handling guest enquiries.
• Preparing and serving food and beverages.
• Providing local area information and assisting with guest requests.
• Supporting conference and meeting room set-up when required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Working closely with colleagues across all departments to deliver excellent service.
