Job summary

Elite Hotels in Eastbourne, affectionately known as “The White Palace,” seeks a proactive Front of House Receptionist to deliver first-class guest service. You will handle check-ins/outs, assist with inquiries, and promote the hotel’s facilities to enhance the guest experience.

Experience in front of house is not essential, but excellent communication and administration skills, attention to detail, and a flexible approach to shifts (including weekends and bank holidays) are required to maintain

Qualifications

Excellent communication and administration skills are required.
Eye for detail and accuracy in guest details and payments.
Flexibility to work early or late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

greet guests at the desk, check them in and out, escort to rooms if concierge unavailable.
Receive payment of guests’ accounts and operate the PDQ machines.
Check availability and take details to sell rooms at best rates and enter reservations.
Act as cashier for guests and other departments, including exchanging foreign currency.
Be part of a warm, caring Receptionist Team.
Promote the Hotel over the telephone and know facilities to sell.
Take brochure and tariff enquiries and enter reservations outside Reservations office hours.
Act as a Sales Person, promoting the image of the Hotel at all times.
