Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is looking for a senior growth-focused professional to lead the Roads sector expansion in a hybrid role. You’ll balance client-facing, billable work with strategic growth initiatives, engaging with defence, aviation, rail, healthcare and other sectors. Base locations include London, Basingstoke or Cambridge.

You’ll develop opportunities, manage key accounts, and direct bids while aligning with regional leadership on development and delivery of high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a growth focussed role.
• Experience working for a consultancy business.
• Experience operating at management level delivering services into the public and private sector.
• Ability to champion client-centric delivery excellence by embedding a strong understanding of client needs and consistently ensuring right-first time, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Being a champion of health, safety and wellbeing culture by leading by example.
• Spend time with clients and industry partners to build relationships and enhance WSP’s external market presence.
• Lead on business development to bring in new, sustainable opportunities for WSP.
• Develop a pipeline of opportunities within the sector.
• Coordinate with other leaders to align resources and pursue multidisciplinary work.
• Deliver funding and revenue targets within the Region for the sector.
• Lead key accounts and client relationships as required for the sector.
• Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
• Support and work with Regional leadership to deliver goals for the region.
• Contribute to regional initiatives and value propositions.
• Provide growth leadership to upskill and develop capabilities in growth, bidding and account management.
• Coordinate deployment of resources to bids and mobilisation of projects.
• Lead projects to ensure technical quality and timely delivery.
