Job summary

The Stepstone Group, via Totaljobs, is seeking a Strategic Performance Marketing Specialist to optimise the UK marketplace. You will analyze candidate behaviour and marketplace trends, delivering insights that drive growth and improve performance across product, marketing, pricing and analytics teams.

You will report to the Head of Market Performance, collaborating cross-functionally to translate data into actionable recommendations and measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Ecommerce, Consumer Technology, Digital Subscriptions, Online Platforms, Marketplaces or similar B2C environments.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and derive insights.
• Experience analysing customer or user engagement data.
• Familiarity with metrics like traffic, conversion, acquisition, retention, engagement or marketplace health.
• Commercial mindset; connect data insights to business growth.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Structured problem solving and proactive opportunity identification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Marketplace Performance: Track KPIs across candidate engagement, application activity, traffic, conversion and outcomes.
• Analyse Candidate Behaviour: Use marketplace data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities to improve engagement.
• Generate Insights & Recommendations: Translate data into clear recommendations that support marketplace optimisation and sustainable growth.
• Create Performance Reporting: Build regular reports and dashboards that provide visibility into marketplace performance and key trends.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Work with Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics teams to understand marketplace dynamics.
• Support Candidate Growth Initiatives: Contribute insights to improve candidate acquisition, engagement and retention across our platforms.
• Conduct Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor external trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to identify new opportunities.
• Communicate Performance Drivers: Help stakeholders understand what's driving marketplace performance and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
