Marks Sattin is seeking a Group Financial Controller in Wakefield to own group reporting, controls and accounting operations. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders to drive performance and inform strategic decisions across the group.

The ideal candidate has ACA qualifications and strong experience in group consolidation, reporting, and multi-entity environments, with a proactive approach to process improvements and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Senior finance professional with multi-entity consolidation experience.
• Strong experience in group finance and financial reporting.
• Clear communication of financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with drive to improve processes and controls.
• Experience in growth-focused, private equity-backed environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead group month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Produce consolidated management accounts and board packs.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Maintain robust financial controls and governance across the group.
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation and audit processes.
• Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting efficiency.
• Support growth initiatives including potential acquisitions and transformations.
• Partner with operational teams to improve profitability and accountability.
• Develop and mentor the wider finance team.
