Job summary

Marks Sattin, on behalf of a private equity-backed group in Rotherham, seeks a Group Financial Controller to lead group reporting, controls and accounting operations, delivering timely financial information to the board and PE investors.

With close collaboration to the CFO and SLT, you will drive performance improvement, enhance reporting processes and support growth initiatives, including potential acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior financial control or group finance roles.
• Strong consolidation and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in multi-entity group environments.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to improving processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead group month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Produce consolidated management accounts and board packs.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Maintain robust financial controls and governance.
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation and audits.
• Drive improvements in processes and reporting efficiency.
• Support growth initiatives, including acquisitions and transformations.
• Partner with operational teams to improve profitability.
• Develop and mentor the wider finance team.
