The hiring company is seeking a Financial Controller to join its leadership team in the West Midlands. You will work closely with the CFO to own the finance function, ensuring robust controls, high-quality reporting and the infrastructure required to support growth.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment.
• Strong accounting controls expertise.
• Manufacturing/industrial sector experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team with a high-performing culture.
• Own the month-end close and deliver timely management accounts.
• Produce monthly board reporting, KPI analysis and commentary.
• Maintain a robust financial control environment and drive process improvements.
• Oversee annual audit and liaise with auditors, tax advisers & bankers.
• Drive improvements in processes, reporting capability and finance systems.
• Partner with department heads to improve cost control and profitability.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with the CFO and leadership team.
