Job summary

Payne Hicks Beach LLP is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Executive to support growth and raise the firm’s profile. The role blends business development and marketing, collaborating with senior directors to deliver data-driven initiatives, client engagement, and event programmes.

The successful candidate will manage CRM, assist with pitches, coordinate market research, and help deliver cross-practice BD activities, with a focus on quality and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in marketing and/or business development in the professional services sector is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• An understanding of project management and organisational skills.
• Experience working with external providers desirable.
• Proficient in standard technology applications, and some knowledge of common AI tools would be ideal.
• Experience in organising events (in-person and virtual).
• Ability to think creatively, research and understand external markets, and generate business development ideas.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently on projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating the firm’s BD initiatives, including targeting, market research, curated events and meetings with referrers and clients.
• Support and run BD content and materials to support pitches and proposals and maintain BD resources and information on the firm’s intranet.
• Co-ordinate and oversee day-to-day activity and data integrity within the firm’s new CRM technology, supporting its roll out, optimisation and future development.
• Support the firm’s growth through the CRM and client intelligence systems, coordinating CRM initiatives and tracking opportunities.
