Job summary
United Response is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to help lead services for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs in Penzance, Redruth, Camborne and surrounding areas. You will work under the Registered Manager to develop high-quality, person-centred support and ensure safe, compliant operations.
The role involves supporting staff teams, safeguarding, compliance, and rota planning, with on-call duties and travel between sites as required.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising, coaching or developing staff teams.
- Experience in social care with people who have learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, CQC requirements and regulated activities.
Responsibilities
- Support leadership and operational management of the service.
- Develop staff teams and ensure high-quality, person-centred support.
- Assist with safeguarding, risk management and safe working practices.
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and organisational standards.
- Contribute to rota planning and staff coverage.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals and stakeholders.
