Group Financial Controller - Multi-Site Restaurant Group Based North London

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a fast-paced, multi-site hospitality group based in Barnet. This is a pivotal role in a dynamic and growing organisation, ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in the restaurant or hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance function across multiple sites, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Develop and oversee robust internal controls, cash flow management, and financial policies aligned with business objectives.
• Business partner with operations, providing strategic insight and financial guidance to support performance improvement across the estate.
• Manage month-end and year-end processes, statutory accounts, and liaise with external auditors.
• Lead a small finance team, mentoring and developing team members to ensure high performance.
• Provide financial analysis to support new site openings, CAPEX decisions, and commercial strategy.
• Oversee payroll, supplier payments, and compliance with tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement systems improvements and drive automation across finance processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager in a multi-site restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and operational finance experience, ideally in a group structure.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills; experience with hospitality finance platforms (e.g., Fourth, Sage, Xero) is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
• Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
