Job summary

We Do Group in Central London is seeking a Finance Manager to take full financial ownership of two operational units and to produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis.

You'll help coordinate payroll, oversee accounting processes, and partner with senior leaders to provide insights beyond numbers, positioning yourself for broader FP&A exposure and consolidation input.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ownership mindset and ability to explain numbers clearly.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience in industry.
• Experience managing finance for two operational entities end-to-end.
• Strong management accounting and reporting experience; able to partner with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take full financial ownership of two operational business units.

• Manage bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and accounting processes.
• Coordinate payroll with support from the wider finance team.
• Own technical accounting decisions, with support from the CFO.

• Lead external audit process and contribute to consolidation and reporting.
• Work with UK/Group finance leaders and embed SAP-driven processes.

We Do Group are delighted to be partnering with a growing international services business to recruit a Finance Manager.

This is a broad, hands on role combining full accounting ownership of two operational entities with support for group level reporting, budgeting, insights and consolidation.

Beyond that there is also real scope to develop your FP&A and commercial partnering skills. There is no separate FP&A team so this role will have to add commercial value beyond reporting the numbers.

You'll have plenty of exposure to senior operational leaders, the Group Financial Controller and Group CFO. Definitely not one for someone who wants to hide behind a spreadsheet all day.

Wish List

• Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or CPA
• At least three years' post-qualified experience within industry
• Experience managing the finance requirements of an operational entity from end to end
• Strong management accounting and reporting experience
• Confident partnering with senior operational stakeholders
• Services or financial services experience would be useful, but isn't essential

The Role

• Take full financial ownership of two operational business units

• Lead budgeting for your entities and contribute to the wider group budget
• Partner closely with senior operational leaders across your entities.

• Produce weekly reporting for senior management
• Support group budgeting, consolidation and performance reporting as required.
• Work closely with the UK Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller and Group CFO
• Help embed and enhance processes following a recent SAP implementation

Your Profile

You’ll be a qualified accountant who enjoys taking genuine ownership rather than simply producing reports and passing them on.

The business has a flat structure, so you'll need to be comfortable working directly with senior leaders, explaining the numbers clearly and occasionally dealing with an urgent request that wasn't on yesterday's to-do list.

You'll be organised, commercially minded and happy balancing detailed accounting with broader business partnering.

This role would suit a qualified management or financial accountant looking to step into a broader role or an established Manager who enjoys a broad accounting role. Practice trained profiles would be suitable however c.3 years of experience in an industry role will be required.

Salary & Benefits

£75,000-£80,000 plus 10-20% Bonus and company pension scheme. Exceptional modern central London office with all modern amenities. This role is office-based, five days per week on site.
