Job summary

SF Partners, based in Birmingham, seeks a Group Financial Controller to own financial control across the Group and lead a multi-site finance team. You will drive integration of acquisitions, strengthen the control environment and oversee treasury and reporting to the board.

You will operate in a hybrid setup, reporting to the Director of Group Finance, with responsibility for consolidation, intercompany, and compliance across multiple entities. A hands-on leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience as Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller.
• Experience in a multi-entity group environment.
• Strong financial control, balance sheet and technical accounting.
• Experience integrating acquisitions or newly acquired businesses.
• Leadership and development of finance teams.
• Strong ERP and financial reporting systems experience.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Own financial control across the Group and lead management reporting.
• Oversee the Group balance sheet and the control environment.
• Lead the integration of acquired businesses and harmonise systems.
• Develop a multi-site finance team and drive process improvements.
• Support audit readiness, VAT/tax compliance and treasury activities.
