Job summary

SF Partners is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to take ownership of group financial control, standardising processes and strengthening controls across multiple entities. The role demands a hands-on, technically strong accountant who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead month-end, balance sheet reconciliation, and reporting improvements while supporting statutory requirements and audits.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong technical accounting and financial control background.
• Significant experience operating at Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller level.
• Previous interim/contract or transformation assignment experience.
• Experience working within multi-entity or group environments.
• Proven track record of improving and standardising finance processes and controls.
• Strong balance sheet, month-end and statutory reporting experience.
• Ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement practical solutions.
• Independent, hands-on approach with the ability to deliver at pace.

Responsibilities

• Own key financial control activities across the group, focusing on standardising processes and improving reporting consistency.
• Strengthen reconciliations, accounting controls and reporting disciplines across entities.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
• Support statutory reporting, audits and year-end processes.
• Document and embed robust processes for the permanent finance team to maintain.
• Collaborate with senior finance and operational stakeholders to implement rapid change.
