Job summary

Swansway Group is seeking a Group Credit Controller to oversee the credit control function across all group dealerships. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to supervise and develop the credit team, building relationships with customers, suppliers and internal operations.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and will involve travel to North and Lancashire dealerships from Crewe, Stoke, Stafford or Chester as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control across multiple sites.
• Strong debt recovery experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support Credit controllers across various Dealership sites.
• Manage customer accounts and business accounts.
• Reduce debt and recover late payments via email, telephone or letter.
• Issue credit limits and work with main Dealerships to ensure eligibility.
• Sign off payment plans and suspend customer accounts.
• Identify customer accounts that present risk.
• Assist with credit reports and approval of credit terms.
• Ensure team members follow business processes.
• Overseeing the processing of late payments and chasing outstanding debts.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with other departments.
• Managing month-end reporting and mitigating payment issues.
• Present accurate and concise reporting and data to senior management and the board.
