Job summary

Swansway Group is recruiting a Group Credit Controller to lead and support our credit control function across all dealerships. You will supervise the credit control team, coach staff, and foster strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

You will travel to North and Lancashire dealerships as required, ensure timely debt recovery, issue credit limits, review terms, and provide concise reporting to senior management from our Crewe Head Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing credit control across multiple sites.
• Strong debt recovery experience.
• Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening).
• Experience with multi-site organisations.

Responsibilities

• Support Credit controllers across various Dealership sites.
• Manage customer accounts and business accounts.
• Reduce debt and recover late payments via email, telephone or letter.
• Issue credit limits and work with main Dealerships to ensure eligibility.
• Sign off payment plans and suspend customer accounts.
• Identify customer accounts that present risk.
• Assist with credit reports and approval of credit terms.
• Ensure team members follow business processes.
• Overseeing the processing of late payments and chasing outstanding debts.
• Maintain and build strong professional relationships with other departments (Sales, Service, Parts, Bodyshop, etc.).
• Managing month-end reporting and mitigating payment issues.
• Present accurate and concise reporting and data to senior management and the board.
