Job summary

idverde is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to supervise a small team delivering grass cutting, hedge trimming and related grounds services across multiple sites. You will lead safety-conscious practices while coordinating daily routines and ensuring standards are met in outdoor conditions.

The role requires prior grounds maintenance or supervisory experience, a full UK driving licence, and ability to work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• 3 years preferred in Grounds Maintenance or similar supervisory role.
• Experience leading a small team in outdoor settings.
• Must be physically able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Full valid UK driving licence is essential.
• PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small grounds maintenance team and work alongside them.
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming and litter picking.
• Ensure tasks meet required standards with attention to detail.
• Work in outdoor conditions and coordinate with the wider team.

Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Chapel Brampton

Salary: £14.80 per hour

Contract type: Full-time, permanent

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:30

About the role

As a Team Leader you will be supervising your small team and working alongside them to provide various grounds maintenance services in Stirling, Falkirk & Clackmannanshire. Grass cutting (ride on and pedestrian), strimming, shrub and border maintenance, hedge cutting, litter picking. Requirements

• Prior experience within Grounds Maintenance with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor position within Grounds Maintenance or a similar industry, 3 year preferred.
• Ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard, with a good eye for detail.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• The ability to be able to work independently but also as part of a wider team.
• Proficient in problem solving and dealing with complex situations.
• Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic with a determined, flexible and "can-do" attitude.
• Experience of Ride-On mower.
• A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
• PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage.
