Job summary

idverde is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative in Scunthorpe to maintain local sites through grass cutting, mowing, strimming, pruning and litter picking, using ride-on and pedestrian mowers. This permanent, full-time role offers a stable schedule and opportunities to grow within a leading UK grounds maintenance provider.

The role requires prior grounds maintenance experience, a valid UK driving licence, and a safety-conscious, can-do attitude suitable for outdoor work in all weather

Qualifications

• Previous Grounds Maintenance experience is required.
• A full valid UK manual driving licence is essential.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are preferred, but not essential.
• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multiple local sites through grass cutting, mowing (ride-on and pedestrian), strimming, pruning and weed control.
• Perform shrub and border maintenance and litter picking as part of routine duties.
• Carry out related horticultural tasks to keep sites in excellent condition.

Location: Scunthorpe

Hourly Rate: £12.71

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Hours: Summer shifts - Mon-Thurs 5:30am-4:00pm, Fri 5:30am-2:00pm. Winter shifts - Mon-Fri 7:00am-2:30pm

We currently require a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Scunthorpe. You will keep several local sites in a wonderful condition for our client through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment.
