Job summary

idverde is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative in Dungannon, Northern Ireland. The role involves grass cutting, hedge and border maintenance, litter picking and related horticultural duties on client sites.

You will operate a ride-on or pedestrian mower, work outdoors in all weather, and contribute to keeping grounds attractive and safe. A full UK driving licence with B+E is required, PA licences are a bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous grounds maintenance experience is required.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• A full UK driving licence and B+E (towing trailers) is required; PA1/PA6 licences are an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass with ride-on and pedestrian mowers and perform strimming, pruning and weeding.
• Maintain shrub borders and perform litter picking and related horticultural duties.
• Keep grounds presentable for clients, ensuring safety and compliance with site rules.
• Support additional tasks as part of a versatile grounds team.

Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Dungannon, Northern Ireland
Hourly Rate: £13.03 p/h
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Working Hours: Mon-Fri between 07:00-17:00, 40 hours annualised (45 hours per week in season, 35 hours in winter period)

About the role

We currently require a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Dungannon. You will keep several local grounds in a wonderful condition for our clients through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.

Requirements

• Previous Grounds Maintenance working experience.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• A full valid UK driving licence & B+E (towing trailers)
• PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage but not essential
