Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to deliver high-quality outdoor space care across diverse sites in Greater London. The role is permanent and full-time, with a 40-hour week and a pay rate of £14.80 per hour.

A full UK driving licence is preferred for vehicle-related tasks, and applicants should be comfortable using smartphone apps to coordinate tasks. Responsibilities include grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, spraying, and winter services like gritting

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.
