Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces at GSK, Dominion Way, Worthing. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.45.

You will cut grass and hedges, maintain borders, clear leaves, spray and litter pick, and support winter services like gritting. A Full UK driving licence is preferred and health and safety training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must not have a penicillin allergy.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with GMOs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting and snow clearance.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.

• Passion for working outdoors in agile and flexible environments
• Good understanding of smartphone technology
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles
