Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Worthing is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to deliver excellent service, meet SLA, and maintain outdoor spaces to a high standard. The role requires an eye for detail, the ability to work outdoors, and basic smartphone use.

You will perform grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking, while operating tools safely and complying with health and safety procedures. A full UK driving licence is preferred for some roles.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors in flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI spraying license is a plus.
• PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving licence preferred for roles involving company vehicles.
• Must not have a penicillin allergy, Full UK Driving Licence, or GMO experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting and snow clearance.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.

Requirements

• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles
• MUST NOT HAVE A PENICILLIN ALLERGY, Full UK Driving Licence, Previous GMO experience
