Job summary

Mitie looks for a Grounds Maintenance Operative in Ashford to deliver high standards across outdoor spaces. You will carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking, while adhering to SLA requirements.

The role is permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week with pay at £13.45 per hour. A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred for company-vehicle roles and you will work outdoors in a flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors in agile and flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI spraying license is a plus.
• PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving licence preferred for roles involving company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required
