Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to keep outdoor spaces clean, safe and presentable, delivering grass and hedge cutting, litter control, and winter services. The role is permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.45.

A full UK driving license is required or preferred for company vehicle roles; spraying licenses (PAI/PA6) are a plus; smartphone savvy and adaptability to outdoors are valued.

Qualifications

• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Ability to work outdoors in agile and flexible environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required

Hourly Rate of Pay: £ 13.45
