Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator is seeking a hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a growing team delivering high-quality communal garden maintenance services across Orpington and surrounding areas in Greater London. This is a hands-on outdoor role requiring physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, weed control, litter picking and maintaining beds, shrubs and planted areas.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK manual driving licence.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Experience in grounds or garden maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out communal grounds maintenance across multiple sites to a high standard.
• Operate grass cutting machinery, strimmers and hedge cutters safely.
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning and general garden maintenance.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs and planted areas.
• Apply weed control treatments (spraying experience preferred).
• Complete litter picking and keep communal areas clean and presentable.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete scheduled work.

hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a growing team delivering high-quality communal garden maintenance services to Housing Association clients across Orpington and the surrounding areas. This is a hands-on, outdoor role requiring applicants to be physically fit and capable of working in all weather conditions. • Carry out communal grounds maintenance to a high standard across multiple sites
• Operate grass cutting machinery, strimmers and hedge cutters safely and effectively
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning and general garden maintenance
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs and planted areas
• Apply weed control treatments (spraying experience preferred)

• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use PPE correctly

• Previous grounds maintenance or garden maintenance experience preferred
• Experience with grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning and general landscaping
• Spraying experience is desirable
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence with no previous motoring convictions or disqualifications
• Must be over 21 years of age (fleet insurance requirement)
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
• Eligible to live and work in the UK, Grounds or garden maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (required)

Job Type

• Full-time, permanent position
• Monday to Friday
• 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)
