Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA) in Slough is seeking a hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a team delivering high-quality communal garden maintenance services to Housing Association clients across Slough and the surrounding areas. This hands-on, outdoor role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, with optional Saturday overtime; salary from £27,352 per annum, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of grounds or garden maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning and general landscaping.
• Spraying experience is desirable.
• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Must be over 21 years of age (fleet insurance requirement).
• Must have right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out communal grounds maintenance to a high standard across multiple sites.
• Operate grass cutting machinery, strimmers and hedge cutters safely and effectively.
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning and general garden maintenance.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs and planted areas.
• Apply weed control treatments (spraying experience preferred).
• Complete litter picking and keep communal areas clean and presentable.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete scheduled work.
