Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA) is seeking a hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our outdoor team delivering high-quality communal garden care for Housing Association clients across Watford and surrounding areas. This hands-on role requires physical fitness and reliability to work in all weather.

You will operate grass-cutting machinery, prune beds and maintain outdoor spaces, with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Grounds maintenance or garden maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning and general landscaping.
• Spraying experience is desirable.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (required).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out communal grounds maintenance to a high standard across multiple sites.
• Operate grass cutting machinery, strimmers and hedge cutters safely and effectively.
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning and general garden maintenance.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs and planted areas.
• Apply weed control treatments (spraying experience preferred).
• Complete litter picking and keep communal areas clean and presentable.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete scheduled work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out communal grounds maintenance to a high standard across multiple sites

Requirements

• Previous grounds maintenance or garden maintenance experience preferred

• Spraying experience is desirable
• Full UK
• manual driving licence with
• no previous motoring convictions or disqualifications
• over 21 years of age (fleet insurance requirement)
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
• Eligible to live and work in the UK

Monday to Friday

40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)

Optional Saturday overtime available

Salary from £27,352 per annum, depending on experience
