Job summary

Mitie in Buxton is seeking a grounds support to maintain outdoor spaces across the site. You will carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing and winter services, working with hand tools and horticultural machinery.

The role is permanent, full-time, based on 8 hours of shifts on Mondays and Thursdays, on-site at Harpur Hill, Buxton. A valid UK driving license is preferred for vehicle roles and spraying licenses are a plus.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors in agile and flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.
