Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking multiple Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Burton on a fixed-term contract through October. Work involves maintaining cemeteries and surrounding grounds using ride-on and pedestrian mowers, with tasks spanning mowing, pruning, weeding and general horticultural duties.

Applicants should have grounds maintenance experience, a valid UK driving licence, and be physically able to work outdoors in all weather. PA licences are a plus but not required.

• A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage but not essential

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers.
• Strimming, pruning, weeding and border maintenance.
• Litter picking and related horticultural duties.
• Support to maintain multiple local grounds to high standards.

Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives

Location: reporting to Burton depot.

Hourly Rate: £12.71 p/h

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract until end of October.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00-16:30

About the role

We currently require multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team in Burton working on our cemeteries contract in Derby. You will keep several local grounds in a wonderful condition for our clients through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.
