Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative for Sutton Coldfield (reporting to Burton depot). The role involves grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers, strimming, pruning, weeding and full horticultural duties in line with contracted works.

You will work Monday to Friday 7:00-16:30 on a 6-month fixed term contract at an hourly rate of 12.71 per hour. A valid UK manual driving licence is essential, PA1/PA6 preferred, and you should be physically fit to work

Qualifications

• Requires previous grounds maintenance experience.
• Full valid UK manual driving licence is essential.
• PA1 and PA6 licences are preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience on school or similar sites is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass cutting with ride-on and pedestrian mowers.
• Perform strimming, pruning, weeding and shrub maintenance.
• Maintain borders and perform bin cleansing and litter picking.
• Deliver full horticultural duties as per contracted works.
• Commit to safety-conscious practices on-site.

About the role

We currently require a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The role requires grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, bin cleansing, litter picking and full horticultural duties as per contracted works.
