Job summary

Darwin Escapes is seeking a Grounds Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant to join our team at Wareham Forest on a permanent basis, working 32 hours per week. This hands-on role suits someone practical who enjoys outdoor work and aims to keep our park, accommodation exteriors and hot tubs clean, safe and well-presented for guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or facilities is desirable.
• Experience with hot tubs, pools or water treatment is advantageous, but training is provided.
• Practical, proactive approach and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, planting, weeding and landscaping.
• Clean, maintain and service hot tubs to safety standards.
• Test and monitor hot tub water quality and chemical levels.
• Check hot tubs, equipment, grounds and outdoor areas.
• Keep grounds and accommodation exteriors clean and well-presented.
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs across the park.
• Respond promptly to maintenance and hot tub-related requests.
• Handle, use and store chemicals safely.
• Support waste management and general upkeep.
• Work with other departments to maintain high standards.
• Follow company policies and health and safety guidelines.

As a Grounds Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant, you will help ensure the park remains clean, safe and well-presented, contributing directly to the overall guest experience.,

• Carry out general grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, planting, weeding and landscaping.
• Clean, maintain and service hot tubs to company and safety standards.

• Carry out regular checks of hot tubs, equipment, grounds and outdoor areas.
• Ensure grounds, accommodation exteriors and hot tub areas are clean, tidy and well-presented.
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs across the park.
• Respond promptly to maintenance and hot tub-related requests.
• Safely handle, use and store chemicals in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Support with waste management and the general upkeep of the park.
• Work closely with other departments to help maintain high standards and deliver an excellent guest experience.

You'll help keep our beautiful park grounds, accommodation exteriors and hot tubs clean, safe and well-maintained, ensuring our guests enjoy a high-quality experience.
  This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who is practical, proactive and able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team., Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities, maintenance or a similar role is desirable.
• Experience with hot tubs, pools or water treatment would be advantageous, but full training can be provided.
• A practical approach with an ability to carry out basic maintenance tasks.
• An understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly when working with chemicals and equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• A proactive, flexible and can-do attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation., This is a hands-on outdoor role, ideal for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in their work. Full training can be provided for the hot tub maintenance aspects of the role.
  Permanent contract - 32 hours per week

The role will involve working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays, as required by the business.
