Darwin Escapes in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Hot Tub and Maintenance Assistant to join our team at a beautiful holiday destination. You will support grounds maintenance and the upkeep of hot tubs to ensure guests enjoy a clean, safe and well-presented environment.

This permanent, full-time role requires practical, proactive work outdoors. You'll handle grass cutting, planting, water quality testing and routine park upkeep, including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or facilities is desirable.
• Training for hot tub maintenance can be provided.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Health and safety awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, planting and landscaping
• Clean, maintain and service hot tubs to meet standards
• Test and monitor water quality and chemical levels
• Conduct checks of hot tubs, equipment and outdoor areas
• Ensure grounds and exteriors are clean and well-presented
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor park repairs
• Respond to maintenance and hot tub requests promptly
• Handle and store chemicals safely
• Support waste management and general upkeep
• Work with other departments to support guest experience

Hot Tub and Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant to join our team at one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is passionate about delivering a clean, safe and well-presented environment for guests. In this role, you will support both the upkeep of the park grounds and the maintenance of hot tubs across our accommodation, helping to ensure a high-quality guest experience at all times.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is practical, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a permanent, full-time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, planting and landscaping
• Clean, maintain and service hot tubs to ensure they meet company and safety standards
• Test and monitor water quality, ensuring correct chemical levels are maintained
• Conduct regular checks of hot tubs, plant equipment and outdoor areas
• Ensure all grounds, accommodation exteriors and hot tub areas are clean, tidy and well-presented
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs across the park
• Respond to maintenance and hot tub-related requests in a timely manner
• Handle and store chemicals safely in line with health & safety guidelines
• Support with waste management and general upkeep of the park
• Work closely with other departments to support the overall guest experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities or a similar role is desirable
• Experience with hot tubs or water treatment is advantageous but not essential (training can be provided)
• Practical skills with a good understanding of basic maintenance tasks
• Awareness of health & safety procedures, particularly around chemicals and equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A proactive and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• A commitment to maintaining high standards
