Job summary

Arup seeks an Industrial Placement student in Ground Engineering to gain hands-on experience across ground investigations, design, and site delivery in the UK.

You'll work on assessing site constraints, analysing data, and supporting Total Design across multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities in water, energy, rail, and highways projects. A bachelor’s degree in Ground/Geotechnical or Civil Engineering is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ground/Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• No specific requirement for skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assessing site constraints, geological hazards and ground conditions to help shape projects at their early stages.
• Analysing ground investigation data to derive ground models and parameters for use in design.
• Representing Arup on site during ground investigations, earthworks and other construction activities.
• Delivering Total Design by working closely with other disciplines to provide integrated project solutions.
• Written and verbal communication during all stages of projects, from initial optioneering through to detailed design.
